The central government can give double happiness to the central employees after March 8 i.e. Holi. According to media reports, dearness allowance for lakhs of employees and dearness relief for pensioners can be increased. Along with this, a decision can also be taken regarding the fitment factor.

The current dearness allowance is being given to central employees at the rate of 38 per cent and it can be increased to 42 per cent. In such a situation, there can be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance and dearness relief. It is expected that the government can announce it after Holi.

Sometimes there is an increase in DA

The central government can increase dearness allowance and dearness relief by 4 percent. This dearness allowance or DA is revised twice a year according to the inflation rate. The first revision is done during January and the second revision is done during July. If dearness allowance is increased this time, then crores of people including employees and pensioners will be benefited.

Government can increase the fitment factor

At present the fitment factor is 2.57 per cent and on this basis the salary is given. It is given under the 6th Pay Commission and there is a demand to increase it under the 7th Pay Commission. Under this, a demand is being made to increase the fitment factor to 3.68 percent.

How much will the salary increase

If the fitment factor is increased for the employees, then the salary of a basic salary of Rs 15,500 can go up to Rs 39,835. At the same time, if DA is also increased, then the salary can be more than 40 thousand rupees. On increasing the fitment factor, the basic salary will be increased from Rs 18 thousand to Rs 26 thousand.
