4 Trillion Dollar India GDP, What Is The Truth Behind It; Waiting For Official Confirmation

4 Trillion Dollar Economy: India has crossed the target of having an economy of 4 trillion dollars (4 Trillion USD). Many prominent people including billionaire Gautam Adani, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy are making this claim on social media. All of them are congratulating the country on this achievement by posting on social media. However, till now nothing has been said in this regard by the Central Government. All these people have made this claim by sharing a screenshot of the live tracking of GDP of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This screenshot has not been confirmed yet.

Central government did not confirm

The central government or the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has not yet given any confirmation on these posts being made viral on social media platform X by many BJP leaders including Adani and Fadnavis. However, highly placed sources have denied this claim. He told that this news going viral is wrong. India is still far from achieving the target of 4 trillion dollar economy. It is not easy to access IMF’s GDP live tracking data. Therefore this screenshot should not be considered correct.

What did the leading businessmen and leaders write on X?

While taking a screenshot on X, Gautam Adani wrote that Congratulations India, in just two years we will become the third largest economy in the world. We will leave behind Japan’s 4.4 trillion dollar economy and Germany’s 4.3 trillion dollar economy. The tricolor continues to fly, Jai Hind. Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat also posted a similar post and wrote that our GDP has crossed 4 trillion dollars. This is a proud moment for India. New India is rising under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Calling it Modi’s guarantee, Cabinet Minister G Kishan Reddy wrote that we are moving towards becoming a 5 trillion dollar economy. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called it the result of visionary leadership.

Data for July-September quarter will come on November 30

The National Bureau of Statistics (NSO) calculates Indian GDP every quarter. Data for the July-September quarter will come on November 30. According to the data of April-June quarter, real GDP was said to be Rs 40.37 lakh crore. It is growing at the rate of 7.8 percent this year. Along with this, the nominal GDP (GDP at current prices) figure was said to be Rs 70.67 lakh crore.
